CHILDREN/PLAY THERAPY

Are you concerned about your child's behavior or emotional well-being? Our therapists can help your child to learn new coping skills, enhance the parent-child bond, and provide both the child and the parent with strategies to support their well-being.

COUPLES & FAMILY THERAPY

Couples (non married, pre-marital, marital) to restore healthy relationships and strong connections with their partner(s). Issues including infidelity, sexual concerns, divorce, remarriage, communication issues, intimacy, trauma, and infertility.

Family therapy and restoration is offered for any past or present concerns in the family system.

SEX & INTIMACY CONCERNS

Our therapists recognize and are dedicated to resolving sexual problems and enhancing sexual relationships. We realize that sexual problems are so prevalent, that nearly two thirds of all men and women will experience them at some time during their lives.

What we do

Aisling Marriage and Family Therapy, PLLC provides individual, couples, and family therapy. There are times that we all need extra support and help with overcoming certain life difficulties. If you notice yourself in the same repeating negative patterns, unable to achieve the goals you set for yourself, in relationships that don’t seem to work out, unable to recover and move on from past trauma, or just feeling lonely, depressed, anxious, or angry, we can help you gain clarity and a direction for growth.

Counseling is a process of guided self-exploration, insight, and discovery that happens within the relationship between client and therapist. We help clients move through defense structures and into self-expression for the purpose of healing. Many of us no longer need the walls we built to protect ourselves but would never risk taking them down alone.

Our Clients seek our services for the following:

  • Shame, guilt, and low self-esteem

  • Relationship struggles

  • Personal growth challenges

  • Addictions & Recovery

  • Sexual Issues

  • LGBTQ Issues

  • Anxiety

  • Adjustment and life transition difficulty

  • Dissatisfaction with life

  • Difficulty with self care

  • Feeling alone in a relationship

  • Loss and grief

What happens next?

After reaching out to the practice, our staff will contact you to conduct a screening to assess your needs. Our practice is now offering in-person and virtual services throughout NYS and you will be contacted by our administrator to connect you to your therapist based on your needs and availability. You will then be scheduled for an intake session where a counselor will ask you questions about your past and present experiences and your reason for seeking support.

Based on the information you provide, we will do our best to match you with a therapist or counselor here within our practice or offer you referrals for providers elsewhere in your area. We are aware that mental health services are in high-demand, and we are here to provide affordable and immediate care for individuals, couples, and families in need. After the intake process, you will spend the first sessions building a therapeutic relationship with your therapist or counselor who will work with you to develop a service plan.

Experienced Supervision & Outside Training/Collaboration

Because we are a training group practice, our counseling sessions are always expected to be supervised live or through audio/visual recordings. During both in person and virtual visits, we also record each session so counselors can review their performances and develop their skills. These recordings are treated as confidential information and only used for supervision purposes. Once the recording has been reviewed it is erased. Please let the group practice administrator or Supervisor know if you have any questions regarding this requirement.

Our group practice is passionate about providing services under the close supervision of experienced clinical faculty members who are experts in the field of mental health, the counselors-in-training work with individuals, couples, and families to help them resolve issues that are barriers to healthy relationships and productive lives. Furthermore, we often contract and collaborate with other mental health professionals such as art/music therapists, etc. to provide the best treatment interventions for our clients.
